PT - Kick-Off Event at Vivid Farms

Open Community Day

The PLAYFOOD project officially began in Portugal with a community kick-off event held at Vivid Farms in September 2025. The gathering brought together teachers, families, and children involved in the project, creating an inspiring moment to introduce PLAYFOOD as well as RHEA as the Portuguese coordinating team alongside EB Casével School and Vivid Farms, strengthening connections between the school community and local partners.

Participants joined a guided tour of the farm, discovering about the organic regenerative farm, how they produce food, as well as, about the activities which will support children’s understanding of food systems, health, and the environment throughout the project. The day concluded with a shared table of local produce from the farm as a community moment gathing around food. The day was filled with enthusiasm and motivation among participants, setting a positive tone for the PLAYFOOD journey ahead.
